Indiapool

The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) promotes and markets Germany - a country with vibrant cities, a picturesque countryside, perfect backdrops for unforgettable romantic honeymoons, fabulous shopping, dinning, entertainment and a lot of leisure and theme parks - as a holiday and travel destination. The GNTB is working in close co-operation with partners from all sectors of German tourism and employs a wide range of marketing and sales measures to create a positive image of Germany.
Safety, cleanliness and legal certainty are rated highly by all our German partners alongside friendly, professional, flexible, reliable and expert service delivery.

We consider Indian travel agents, tour operators, business travel organizers, meetings and event planners as our sales partners in encouraging customers to visit and experience Germany at first hand.

As India is a dynamic growing market with high potential and Germany is the second most popular travel destination for Indian tourists (in Europe), the GNTB and 14 partners from the tourist and business sector (nine destinations, three airports, one hotel chain and one leading incoming operator) founded in September 2008 the German Indian Pool in order to work long-dated together in the Indian market. They want to have a continuous handling of the Indian market.
The goal of this national task force is to popularise Germany as a TOP travel destination in India and concentrate the German marketing activities there.
The Indian pool is going to invest in the marketing in India in order to enable a professional, market-specific and concentrated appearance of the travel destination Germany under one umbrella. They are planning specific activities in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkata by doing activity weeks and workshops. The focus of the marketing activities is concentrated on trade and press. For those a special Indian Sales Guide of Germany has been created. Every year there will be activity weeks in India. During that time partners of the German India Pool are visiting Indian tour operators and present the travel destination Germany.
