Accommodation

A group of young people on a school trip
Who would have thought it? Youth hostels have been with us for almost a century. This ingenious concept in accommodation has spread to all corners of the globe. Today there are more than 550 youth hostels in Germany and upwards of 4,000 around the world.

The "Youth Hostels 2009" guide tells you everything you need to know about youth hostels in Germany. It contains information, maps and addresses, gives a quick overview of all the options in a given region and shows how far it is to the next hostel.

The websites run by the Association of German School Educational Retreats (Verband Deutscher Schullandheime e.V.) and the Federal Association of Children's and Young People's Camps (BAG KiEZ e.V.) also provide information on budget accommodation in Germany.
